Learning Areas:
Activities in this class are aimed at developing the child’s independence and confidence. Class routine is encouraged. Fine motor, gross motor and perceptual skills are developed through fun and play. Life skills are taught in more depth i.e. independence, communication, working with their peers, sharing, and understanding right from wrong. Language enrichment plays a big role in this class and activities such as story time, songs and rhymes and discussion rings help to develop these learning areas. Children are trained to use the bathroom facilities on their own and are encouraged to eat by themselves. Junior daily programme is followed. Weekly preparation is done by the teacher based on the theme of the week and approved by the H.O.D.
